It was wonderful to go back and heal some of those old wounds. What a great friend to have saved all your letters. My parents were very controlling and I always vowed to be a different kind of mom who listens to her kids. So far, so good. I'm sure the letters have sparked some memories and that writing more about those times will help.</p><p>I had a good friend that sent me all kinds of letters, including one memorable note that she wrote on a half-roll of toilet paper. I recently got the letter box out of the attic and am looking forward to reading them.
